Kitesurfing on Lake Como<\/h2>\n

For a summer kitesurfing spot in Europe, Lake Como is hard to beat. Surrounded by the towering peaks of the southern Alps, Lake Como is just 90 minutes from Milan, 3hrs from Zurich, and 4hrs from Geneva. The 162 square kilometre fresh-water lake provides unbeatable learning conditions, and also a perfect playground for more advanced kiters: There are plenty of launch spots around the lake, kitesurf shuttles for anyone looking to avoid a beach launch, and advanced lessons for those wanting to progress\/learn something new.<\/p>\n

Unlike the better-known lake Garda, Como is rarely too busy and in summer months over 90% of days bring kiteable wind.<\/p>\n

Sound good? That’s because it is!<\/p>\n

There are a number of spots around the lake where you can launch from the beach. If you\u2019re an independent rider (confident riding in most wind conditions, able to relaunch, and able to retrieve your own board, and able self-rescue) then they are a great option.<\/p>\n

Not all of the launches are easy (often the beaches are narrow, and the wind can be a little gusty right in by the shore), but once you’re out on the water you\u2019ll have smooth wind and huge amounts of space to play in.<\/p>\n

Most spots have cafe\/bar facilities.<\/p>\n

Our coaching sessions have a maximum of 4 students, and each student has their own kite for the duration of the session so that you’re free to work on whatever skills it is you want to improve\/learn.
