Maximum time on the water and rapid progress in our group kite courses

Our group kitesurf lessons are a fun and sociable way to learn to kitesurf. We keep our groups small to maximise learning potential. Each student will have their own kite as soon as basic controls are mastered.

Our ultimate aim is to help you become an independent kiter. This is someone who can consistently ride upwind in a variety of wind conditions (IKO Level 3, or VDWS Level 5). Once you have reached this level you can try our coaching sessions to keep progressing.

What’s included:

  • No-wind-no-fee guarantee
  • Unlimited time on the water
  • All kit provided including kite, board, wetsuit, harness, buoyancy aid, and helmet
  • Theory session & riding assessment
  • IKO instructor & an IKO certification at the end of your course

Our group kitesurf lessons are available for all levels, from complete beginner though to advanced riders.

For complete beginners it can be hard to know what to expect, so as a guide we say that typically we expect progression from complete beginner to riding on the board to take 2-3 days, and for people to achieve the level of independence within 5-7 days. Please bear in mind that speed of progression varies between individuals, and may take more (or less) time than these estimates.

At the end of your course we will register you for an internationally recognised IKO or VDWS license that confirms your ability level. Many kite-rental outfits around the world will require this certification before they will rent equipment to you.

We meet for our lessons at 11am (10am for complete beginners), get kitted up, and take the boats south to the kite spot (about a 20min drive). The wind normally starts blowing at about midday, and we are generally back in the harbour between 4 and 5 pm. If you think you’d prefer 1-to-1 tuition then take a look at our private lessons, or for more advanced lessons try our coaching, foil, or wingsurf lessons

What to bring with you:

  • Sun cream
  • Bottle of water
  • A snack to eat on the boat in case you get hungry
