WHERE WE ARE
Gera Lario (where we are based) is situated at the north end of Lake Como. The easiest way to reach us is by car, but you can also travel here using public transport from Milan or from Switzerland.
Once you reach Gera Lario, finding 414 Kiting is a piece of cake – we’re right at the entrance to the harbour under the villa on the right hand side of the car park entrance (see background picture on this page).
From Switzerland, driving is the best option. From Zurich, take the Splugen Pass and drop down to us through Chiavenna (c.3h45), or from Geneva/Lausanne head either via the Simplon Pass or the Mont-Blanc Tunnel (c.4h30).
Gera Lario is roughly 90minutes by car from the three main Milan airports (Malpensa – MXP, Linate – LIN & Bergamo – BGY) – which offer a large selection of cheap flights from all over Europe. Check out Ryanair, Easyjet & BA for some of the best offers. From any of these airports it’s an easy drive up to the north end of Lake Como. It’s easy to make a day visit from Milan to Gera Lario, but we recommend taking at least a few days as the area we are in is incredibly beautiful, and there’s no shortage of things to see and do (even if kitesurfing isn’t your thing!)
If you don’t have access to a car then it’s also possible to reach us by public transport: trains from Milano Centrale run approximately once per hour to Colico, and from there you can take a 15min ride on the C10 bus to Gera Lario. There is also a daily Post Bus (the Palm Express) that runs between Lugano and St Moritz that stops in Gera Lario.
