What Will I Learn?

Our ultimate aim is to help you become an independent kiter. This is someone who can consistently ride upwind in a variety of wind conditions (IKO Level 3, or VDWS Level 5). Once you have reached this level you can try our advanced coaching or downwinder sessions to keep progressing.

How much you learn depends on your starting level, and on how many days you choose to kite with us, but typically we expect progression from complete beginner to riding on the board to take 2-3 days, and for people to achieve the level of independence within 5-7 days. Please bear in mind that speed of progression varies between individuals, and may take more (or less) time than these estimates.

Once you have achieved the level of an independent kiter we will give you an internationally recognised IKO or VDWS certificate that confirms your level. Many kite-rental outfits around the world will require this certification before the will rent equipment to you.
